Terms of service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of mokurra.com (the "Site") and any purchase you make from MOKURRA. By accessing, browsing or ordering on the Site, you accept these Terms and agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
Company and legal information
The Site is operated by Silavann-john LIM (SNL.CF), trading as MOKURRA. Full company details are set out in the "Company and legal information" section above.
Please note: our registered office is an administrative address only. It is not a returns address. Returns are handled through the process in our Returns & Refund Policy, and a return address is provided only after a return has been authorised.
Products and descriptions
MOKURRA sells home furniture and furnishings. We describe and picture our products as accurately as possible, including materials, dimensions and intended use.
Please read each product page carefully before ordering. The exact material of every item — including the specific type of wood or finish used — is stated on that product's page. Where a component is not solid timber, this is declared on the page. Product images are for illustration; colours may vary slightly depending on your screen. Because our products use natural materials, grain, tone and markings vary from piece to piece; this is a characteristic of the material, not a fault.
We make no health, performance or certification claims about our products beyond what is stated on the relevant product page.
Prices and availability
All prices are shown in GBP (£) and are the prices payable at checkout. The price shown on the product page, in any advertisement and at checkout is identical. Prices and availability may change at any time, but changes do not affect orders we have already confirmed. Out-of-stock items cannot be ordered until restocked.
Orders and acceptance
When you place an order you make an offer to buy. Your order is accepted, and a contract is formed, only when we send you a dispatch confirmation email. If we cannot accept your order (for example, the item is unavailable or there is a pricing error), we will tell you and refund any amount already taken.
You may cancel an order that has not yet been dispatched by contacting us as soon as possible. Your statutory right to cancel after delivery is set out in our Returns & Refund Policy.
Your statutory rights
Nothing in these Terms affects your legal rights as a consumer. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel most online purchases within 14 days of receipt. These rights are explained in full in our Returns & Refund Policy.
Warranty — 1-Year Limited Warranty (Manufacturing Defects)
We provide a 1-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects. It covers manufacturing defects only and does not cover damage caused by misuse, accident or normal wear. It is offered in addition to your statutory rights and does not limit them.
- Registration. Register your product within 30 days of receiving it by emailing contact@mokurra.com with your order number and the product name. Registering after this period may invalidate this commercial warranty. This does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which remain fully available whether or not you register.
- Cover. The warranty runs for 1 year from the date of purchase and requires proof of purchase (your original order confirmation). It applies to the product itself.
- What counts as a defect. A manufacturing defect is where the product fails under normal, intended use and no longer provides proper support or function. If you encounter one, stop using the product and contact us at contact@mokurra.com.
- Conditions of use. The warranty applies only when the product is used as intended and purchased new from mokurra.com. Proper use includes placing the product on a level surface with all feet in contact with the floor and weight evenly distributed, and not subjecting it to abnormal stress. It does not extend to other parts or products.
- Our remedy. If the product fails due to a manufacturing defect, we will repair or replace it at our discretion. We may substitute comparable materials or models, and cannot guarantee that a replacement will exactly match existing pieces, as natural materials vary.
- Inspection and transport. Where we need to inspect the product to assess a claim, the transport or removal cost for that inspection is your responsibility. This applies to this commercial warranty only; where you exercise your statutory remedies for faulty goods under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, we bear the relevant costs.
To make a warranty claim, email contact@mokurra.com with your order number and photographs of the issue.
Acceptable use and intellectual property
All content on the Site — text, product descriptions, images, graphics, logos and the MOKURRA name — is owned by or licensed to Silavann-john LIM (SNL.CF) and is protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy, reproduce, republish or exploit any part of the Site for commercial purposes without our written permission.
You agree not to use the Site for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose, not to interfere with its operation, and not to attempt to gain unauthorised access to it.
Limitation of liability
We provide the Site and our products with reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses that were not foreseeable when the contract was formed. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law — including your statutory rights as a consumer.
Termination
We may suspend or end your access to the Site if you breach these Terms, use the Site fraudulently, or act in a way that harms MOKURRA or other customers. Where a contract of sale has already been formed, ending Site access does not remove your statutory rights for products already purchased.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always published on mokurra.com with its "Last updated" date. Where changes are material, we will notify customers by email and/or by a notice on the Site before they take effect. The Terms that apply to your order are those in force when the order is placed.
Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws applicable to consumer contracts in the United Kingdom, and you benefit from the mandatory consumer protections available to you.
If you have a complaint, please contact us first at contact@mokurra.com. For free, independent advice on your consumer rights, you can also contact Citizens Advice: https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/.
